Blog comment for thanksgiving break
I am not sure when our blog comment is due so I am making one now. my mom just signed forms for my art work to be in scholastic! We are so excited and are planning to attend the show! Happy thanksgiving tomorrow fellow artists. :)

Concentration
Just finished taking more daisy and tool photos: Be expecting some amazing work soon- full of color!! Elements and Principals of Art too! :) thank you to my class for all of the advice. I am feeling inspired!

My Concentration
"sweet fixin's" is the title of my concentration.
I will be painting on panels a single tool (yes, I will try my best to make it manly haha) and a daisy!
I will be playing with the elements and principals of art to make each peice interesting.

Christine Soccio
Christine Soccio is a wonderful painter!

It is hard to put a finger on what exactly I would call her consentration.
I love all of her paintings because they each make me FEEL something different.
Each one seems to have a different mood attached to it.
This is probably becasue of the element and principal of art: color.
The mixture of lights and darks, blues, reds, and yellows create a flavor to each peice that is quite different from the rest.

Heidi Lender is an amazing photographer!

This concentration of photos by Heidi Lender caught my eye because of the personality in them.
Although Heidi used to work with fashion, I see the underlying idea in this group of work is showing who we are as people.
Where we like to be, what we like to wear, it all makes us US!

I love the quirkyness of the headless person and the personality that shows in every single photograph of this series.

Ronit Bigal uses the combination of caligraphy and photography of different parts of the bare human body to create a 'visual coherence'.
The element and principal of art that keeps coming to my mind in these photographs is the use of line. It is sometimes hard to tell which part of the body the photograph is of, because the lines of the skin are textured in so many different ways. This artist uses the curve of the body to draw the viewer in- I find it to be quite breathtaking!

Homework
Taking 1,000 photos this summer was easy! I would bring my camera everywhere and spaced out the time well so there was no cramming (I really hope this works because I dont think I did this right)
