May 2nd
I feel that I have completed my concentration and am ready to move on to something new. I have 12 block pieces that show growth and the theme of my concentration. I liked trying out watercolor but want to keep painting on canvas. I love painting flowers and want to continue! Without tools! I have found that layering can really make a piece interesting. I love the one I did that Allison is modeling (attached)

Well that's kinda chill that you've already finished your concentration. I mean you always could do more right? I actually have no idea and I don't really know what to say since you've finished... Ha well I agree that you've made a lot of progress this year and I can definitely see the growth you've made.
ReplyDeleteHahaha I love Sophie's comment. I think you've definitely made a lot of progress with your concentration. I think it's impressive that you've already finished! I liked to see you stepping out of the norm and doing the water colors and this piece that's in your picture. I think it shows some variety which makes your portfolio more interesting. If you do end up doing another, I suggest you do something totally unlike any other piece you've done! Go crazy! Great job this year!
ReplyDeleteWow, I love your model in that photo. Asian. So yah I am pretty jealous that you already finished your concentration! That is crazy town! What a relief. Its fun that now you are stress free and painting the cutie things you like. I think that you are just born to paint flowers I guess. Since you are all finished with your twelve pieces you have nothing to lose so you should try something totally different than you have ever done. This is your chance to go a little crazy and have fun! Great job!

WHAT A BEAUTIFUL MODEL (AND PAINTING) hehe. I'm so jealous you're done... but i really really really like where you're going with these new pieces and how they're different than the others but still have that *Laura* element in them :) Keep going and add more paintings/artwork like this one and i think you'll be perf. not that you aren't already PERFECT <3
ReplyDeleteI agree with Sophie Richards about why not do more! I think it's great and really impressive how fast you've worked. But I still think you could keep going! It seems better to have a lot of pieces and have to choose only 12 than look back and not like one of them. Just keep painting! Why not? That's crazy that you're done already though! Congratulations
